
According to the press release, border police officers at the Nădlac II checkpoint upon entering the country discovered 1,120 packs of cigarettes worth 7 million 280 thousand lei in a truck driven by a Romanian citizen.
This weekend, at the Nădlac II border crossing point in Arad County, a 45-year-old Romanian citizen, driving a vehicle registered in Romania, appeared for border formalities on his way to enter the country.
According to the accompanying documents for the goods, the truck was headed on the route Germany – the Republic of Moldova and was loaded with paper.
During the control, border guards discovered a total of 1,120 cigarette cases with a total value of 7,280,000 lei (1,456,000 euros) in the compartment intended for the transportation of goods.
