
The EV9 is the new standard for Kia electric models. It is based on Hyundai Group e-GMP platformwhich, thanks to its modularity, has allowed here to offer more than an extended wheelbase that allows for placement up to seven seats ! There are actually two configurations offered: 6 seats with a swivel row of 2 seats in the back for a lounge configuration. Or seven seats with 3 seats in the second row. it is a pioneer in this field, the large 7-seater SUVs available on the European market are hybrids (Toyota Highlander, Ford Explorer and Mitsubishi Outlander coming soon). Only Vinfast VF9 offers such a configuration. After presenting the entry-level versions (as it often happens, not the most affordable ones), Kia has just revealed the prices and specifications of the entry-level versions of its EV9 family electric car.

The announced ranges are now also official and… more interesting provided that ! The full range is actually finally known with, in particular, a pleasant surprise: 541 km of autonomy was originally announced, the entry-level, single-engine version will eventually cover 563 km according to the official WLTP tests. This single-engine version of the “EV9”, which transmits 204 hp. on rear wheels, is also the cheapest: 73,000 euros the same ! But that’s less than the announced starting price of €78,000 during the presentation of the model, in Earth finish…
204 or 385 horsepower
Always with a powerful battery with a capacity of 99.8 kWhintermediate version “EV9” with two engines (all-wheel drive, therefore), off 385 hpallows viewing 512 km. Its price is from 80,000 euros. finally, expect 78,000 euros for the basic version of the “Earth” series. (offered only in the 204-horsepower variant) and 86,000 euros for the most complete GT Line version, available only with 385 hp engine (6 or 7 seats). Of course, these budgets remain high for individuals, but with many 6- and 7-seat configurations, this Kia EV9 should appeal to some transportation professionals…
