The Romanian Police Traffic Information Center advises that Red Codes for rain and wind are in effect in Constanta and Tulcea counties, so drive in heavy rain and strong wind with low visibility.

“At the moment, there are no traffic restrictions on the national roads or on the A2 and A4 highways, but the road is wet, in many areas covered with water,” the quoted source said.

On the A2 Bucharest-Constanța highway between kilometers 10 and 64 there is rain and strong crosswind, on the section 64-144 precipitation in the form of sleet and snow, the road is wet, preventive measures are taken with equipment. Between kilometers 144 and 212, as well as on the A 4 Ovidiu-Agija road, it is raining, and strong gusty winds are blowing.

“We recommend that drivers avoid traveling in these areas, postpone their journey until after the weather conditions improve, carefully monitor where they park their vehicles, as many trees have fallen on them in populated areas, and if while driving we advise them to find a sheltered place where they can wait for the meteorological conditions to stop and drive carefully, avoid any risky maneuvers and keep safe during the entire route. Drive responsibly, with great attention,” the Infotraffic Center notes.
