63 students of the Alexandru Ioana Kuza Police Academy got food poisoning, some of them were taken to the hospital for treatment, but not hospitalized. The Directorate of Public Health in Bucharest is carrying out an epidemiological investigation, and the management of the academy ordered to check this case, according to News.ro.

Representatives of the “Alexandru Ioan Kuza” police academy reported that on Tuesday, starting at 8:30 p.m., several trainees of the institution became ill, they complained of stomach pain accompanied by vomiting.

“The on-duty staff of the institution immediately took the first measures to provide medical aid. Medical teams that arrived at the scene provided specialized assistance to students who complained of feeling unwell, and those who needed a thorough examination were taken to hospital departments with the initial diagnosis: enterocolitis-food toxic infection. A total of 63 students were injured. After this incident, not a single student of the Alexander Ioan Kuza Police Academy was hospitalized, specialized medical care was recommended to the victims,” ​​the cited source said.

At the same time, specialists from the Public Health Office of Bucharest arrived at the institution’s headquarters to conduct an epidemiological investigation.

“These aspects do not affect the educational process at the institution. The management of the academy ordered the creation of a commission to conduct checks on compliance with all norms of food storage, processing, preparation and serving,” the institution reported.
