On 16 and 17 November 2023 at the Sheraton Hotel in Bucharest, Energynomics, the Romanian Energy Efficiency Fund (FREE) and the Directorate for Energy Efficiency (DEE) of the Ministry of Energy are organizing the final information and awareness conference of the Iceland-funded Energy Efficiency for Energy Transition project , Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA and Norway grants 2014-2021.

event Energy efficiency for energy transition – Iasi this is the third information campaign “Energy efficiency for the energy transition”project funded by Innovation Norway through Norwegian grants 2014-2021.

The goal of the project is to increase the level of awareness and awareness of the general public, industry specialists and state authorities regarding energy efficiency and renewable energy. Project “Energy efficiency for the energy transition” it started in March 2023 and will be implemented by the end of the year. Measures will be developed within the project to achieve the proposed goalinformation, communication and training to increase the level of experience of energy practitioners and the level of accountability of decision-makers in public authorities and companies in Romania. The proposed result is the contribution of project actions to the improvement of energy consumption by industrial and domestic consumers through actions that facilitate the energy transition, through energy efficiency measures and the integration of renewable energy sources into the consumption structure.

The educational campaign will consist of four types of activities: 1. Conferences, 2. Training courses on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, 3. Summer school, 4. Media campaign on renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.

Resources for this project were partially provided by financial support provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA and Norwegian grants, supplemented by co-financing from partners. In the next period, another conference is planned in Bucharest (November 16-17). By the end of the year, the media campaign will contribute to increasing the level of awareness and involvement of consumers in the public and private environment, at the individual and company level through future implemented projects.

At the same time, access to more knowledge and tools shared during the courses and the Summer School (August 10-14) contributed to an increase in the number and skills of people interested and available to communicate on the topics of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
