The first BlackHawk helicopter, purchased as part of the European project, intended for emergency management, was delivered on Saturday to the headquarters of the Main Aviation Inspection (IGAV) of the MAI, DSU reports.

3 more helicopters are due to be delivered next week, and 3 more BlackHawk aircraft by the end of the year, 2 of which are for emergency management and 1 to support the operational structures of the Romanian police. , reports DSU.

In the near future, at an official ceremony, the authorities will present the BlackHawk aircraft, which will be part of the IGAV fleet.

The General Aviation Inspectorate of the MAI acquired 7 Blackhawk helicopters, aircraft that will be used for emergency management, three of which are configured for maritime operations and three for land operations, and one helicopter was purchased to support the operational structures of the Romanian Police.

The devices were manufactured at the Lockheed Martin plant in Poland. The total value of the contract was more than 170 million euros, reports TVR News. 85% of the cost was covered by European funds.
