
Turkish Airlines held talks with Airbus on Saturday about a potential order for 355 new planes, state news agency Anadolu reported, Reuters reports.
During the meeting held in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines officials discussed the purchase of 75 A350-900 wide-body aircraft and 15 A350-1000 wide-body aircraft, as well as 250 A321neo narrow-body aircraft and five A350F freighters. in addition to the 10 A350-900s for which terms have already been agreed.
If the parties reach an agreement, the order will be the largest in the airline’s history.
Turkish Airlines President Ahmet Bolat said in May that Turkish Airlines plans to order 600 new planes in June to be delivered over 10 years.
Part of the order will be optional, and the final order will depend on a government decision expected in two months, he said in June.
