
With over 3 million copies sold since the launch of the very first generation in 1980 Renault Master is an indispensable auxiliary vehicle on our roads. Almost 30,000 copies of the model have been sold in France since the beginning of the year, of which only 2% have an electric motor.
The Master will soon be updated with a completely new generation, the fourth, which will soon be introduced during the 17th edition Solutransthe biennial exhibition for transport professionals from 21 to 25 November 2023 at Eurexpo Lyon.
Renault Master IV: refined aerodynamics
To help us wait, the French manufacturer has just published a whole first teaser photo of his new vehicle, seen in profile, still hidden in the darkness.
Renault Master IV will be part of the whole new generation cargo vans from the diamond firm that strive to be more efficient, connected and innovative: the new Master has been designed to make it easier to use while adapting to the needs of its users, offering greater autonomy and fuel economy.
The new Renault Master received a new braking system, as well as a new aerodynamic design, which the brand called Aerovan. compared to the current generation, the fourth opus promises to 21% reduction in consumption. for the electric version and consumption 1.5 l/100 km less for the thermal version.
Made in France
As in previous generations, Renault Master IV will be produced in Franceat the Renault-Sovab plant (Society of motor vehicles Batilli) from Batilla, located near Metz in Mert and Moselle (54). The plant will produce thermal and 100% electric versions, as well as models equipped with hydrogen fuel cells, scheduled for 2025. On this occasion, the factory’s production line was upgraded to optimize production, focusing on innovation.
No further information has been released yet, but according to recent rumors, this new generation of Master will benefit from a partnership between Renault and Mercedes for trucks and shares its technical platform with the Sprinter. Like the Kangoo and Citan, the styling and equipment of the Renault version will differ.
Renault is already giving us a meeting at the upcoming Solutrans exhibition from November 21 to 25, 2023 at Eurexpo Lyon to discover the new large van. It is expected to enter the market this year.2024 year.
