Hongqi is to China what Bentley is to the United Kingdom, Aurus to Russia (formerly ZIL), or Toyota in Japan: a manufacturer that was chosen for a difficult task to provide official transport for the country’s top management. Presidential limousines, ministerial SUVs, stately convertibles… Can you say a brand reserved for China? Fine ! not at all, because Imagine it arriving very close to here… in Belgium ! More than the car itself – another large electric SUV – the manufacturer’s initiative is attractive above all. Customers will be able to use a driver at their disposal for 50 hours…
A Chinese Rolls Royce came to our Belgian friends
Hongqi’s Belgian importer, Hedin Automotive, has partnered with GetDriven, a platform that allows you to hire a private driver in your own car. HAS purchase of Honqi HS-9customers will receive a personal code to enter into the program that entitles them 50 hours of use to take them anywhere. That way, they can enjoy the sophistication of their new acquisition while letting themselves be in charge. Chinese car manufacturers that succeed in Europe are certainly very strong in their marketing and communication operations! The Hongqi HS-9 is a large 5.2m long 100% electric SUV that is available in Kevren as a 6-seater or 7-seater.. All versions have two engines with a total power of 435 or 551 horsepower.
A large electric SUV, for starters…
The most modest configuration gets a 76.5 kWh battery range 396 km; the second has a 90 kWh battery 465 km WLTP. The Long Range version with a 120 kWh battery increases this range to 515 km. The main argument, of course asking price: 69,995 euros. But up to 116,690 euros in the Long Range version. Hongqi is already officially distributed in Norway and the Netherlands, two European territories where electric cars are very popular. Does its arrival at our borders mean an inevitable introduction to France? Nothing is less certain, because the brand has not yet confirmed anything about it, and of course it is easier for him to establish himself in countries where there are no national manufacturers. Who knows if her models will be successful in France?
