On Tuesday, the University of Craiova officially presented the coach with whom it wants to go to the next level and win the Super League title. It is about the Bulgarian Ivaylo Petev.

Who is Ivaylo Petev, the new coach of the University of Craiova

At the age of 48, the technician from the neighboring country has signed a contract until the end of the 2025-2026 competitive season.

Petev gained recognition after winning three Bulgarian league titles with Ludogorets. He also won two Bulgarian Cups and the same country’s Super Cup on his resume with that team.

He also coached Dynamo Zagreb, AEL Limassol, Omonia Nicosia and Jagiellonia.

He was also the coach of Bulgaria and the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Petev was a rival of Romania when he coached the Bosnians).
