After scoring his first goals for Alaves in the Copa del Rey, the Romanian international came close to getting his name on the scoreboard in a La Liga match against Almeria, which his side narrowly won.

In midweek, Hagi scored the first two goals for Alaves in a 10–0 Copa del Rey win against seventh division side Murcia.
