Residents of the capital have high expectations for the new mayor, writes Moldova1.

“Let the city be clean, let the city be beautiful, let us have roads, let the cars not stand in rows on the roads like that.”

“What he promises, he must fulfill. We pay a lot for utilities, we reduce the prices of utilities so that they are not so expensive.”

“Let the city be an even more beautiful and important peace. The problem of garbage, street lighting, historical buildings are not restored, people know very little about the city where they were born.”

“The biggest problem is definitely transportation.”

Residents of the village of Dancheny say that the future mayor should pay more attention to the youth who leave the village and the elderly.

“To do more for the youth. Do not run away from the village, do not go abroad, have a job. I think that in order to live, you can live here, you just have to work.”

“You have to go to the forest to get firewood and bring it to someone who will take it, we pay money to bring firewood home to old people who can’t. And increase their pensions a little more.”

“Look at the junk sitting at the gate, it’s not normal. – He doesn’t get it in time? – They take it on time, but no more than three bags, twice a week. We are not satisfied with this.”

And those from Suruchen say they want drinking water and sewerage, and besides that, some also want paths for cyclists.

“For example, I want a cycle track. We want many things, first of all, sewage, drinking water from the city, because we have bad water and all the equipment is breaking down.”

“We have problems with sewage, we have bad water, the taps break in the bathroom and everywhere. The problem with garbage was solved.”

“We need roads, we need waiting stations right next to the winery, he told us he would make his way, he didn’t, the tractor isn’t coming to collect the leaves.”

Good roads await those from the south.

“Children’s playgrounds should be made, dear.”

“The priority should be the construction of roads, something has started to be done, but it is not enough. If there were as much work as possible, people would not leave.”

“More attention should be paid to families with many children, pensioners, and the disabled.”

Residents of the north are waiting for changes regarding drinking water, cleanliness, as well as a solution to the problem of stray dogs.

“We want the future mayor to build our sewers, bring water to every home, street lighting.”

“We are waiting for it to be clean, for it to be clean in the city, for it to be good, for it not to be like this, let’s look for them to come and cut down the trees.”

“We hope that the authorities will solve the situation with stray dogs in the city, because it is the number one problem. The future of the city of Soroka depends on whether there will be jobs here.”

898 mayors and 11,058 deputies of local councils will be elected in the November 5 elections.
