Romania is in the finals of the Mini-Football World Cup for the first time

On Friday, the Romanian national team made history and reached the finals of the Mini-Football World Cup.

6-time European champions between 2010 and 2015, Virgil Bejenaru’s team defeated Hungary decisively in a match dominated by our team.

In the 5th minute, Mircea Ungur opened the scoring with a spectacular shot, and in the 26th, Popa increased the advantage of the tricolor team.

The youngest player of the Romanian national team, Marius Balogh (23 years old), set the final score (min. 35) with a strong shot in the short corner.

For the first time in history, the Romanian national team reaches the finals of the world mini-soccer tournament.

The best performances, before Friday’s success, were bronze medals won in the United States of America (2015) and in Australia (2019).
