Range VinFast continues to grow: after VF6, VF7, VF8 and VF9, the offer of the Vietnamese brand is complemented from below by the recently introduced small VinFast VF 3.
THE VinFast VF 3 will enter the market of 100% electric mini city cars such as Wuling Hongguang Mini EV with this new city mini SUV which extends to a length 3.11 meterswith two side doors, a tailgate at the back, but plenty of space inside for transport 5 people.
VinFast VF 3: available model?
The VinFast VF 3 is now on sale in Vietnam, with first deliveries scheduled for the third quarter of 2024. The Vietnamese manufacturer has not confirmed a possible sale of its small 100% electric SUV in Europe, but things are moving pretty quickly as VinFast now seems to be eyeing American market.
In fact, representatives of the Vietnamese brand said during an interview with our American colleagues at Automotive News that the small model could complete the American lineup at a price below 20,000 USDwhich is equivalent to approximately €18,800.
In addition, on the other side of the Atlantic, electric vehicles receive a tax credit of $7,500 for the purchase of a new model or $4,000 for a used model. Enough to attract many new customers a potential for which an electric car is still too expensive.
Democratization of the electric car
To grow in Uncle Sam’s country, VinFast wants to rely on a a network of large dealers Americans in order to distribute their small SUV in the USA, and not necessarily in their own retail outlets. This may very well be the first step towards wider international expansion, and why not in our region!
However, VinFast reminds that its goal is to democratize the electric car and offer safe, practical and intelligent transport solutions for everyone. From his affordable pricetherefore, this inexpensive model should be quickly adopted by many motorists, whether Vietnamese or soon Americans.
