
Actor Tyler Christopher, known for his roles on General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, has died, TMZ reports. He was 50 years old.
The star died Tuesday morning at his San Diego apartment of “heart disease” … according to his “General Hospital” co-star Maurice Bernard.
Tyler Christopher was “truly talented, setting the screen on fire in every scene he played and bringing joy to his loyal fans with his performance,” said Maurice Bernard.
Tyler Christopher played Nicholas Cassadine and Connor Bishop on General Hospital, appearing in 1,153 episodes from 1996 to 2016.
He also appeared in 160 episodes of Days of Our Lives from 2001 to 2019, according to NBC Sand Diego.
A native of Illinois, Christopher was married to actress Eva Longoria from 2002 to 2004. He had two children with his second wife, journalist Brienne Pedigo. The couple divorced in 2021.
General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini took to X, formerly Twitter, after the actor’s sudden death to say he was “heartbroken.”
Tyler Christopher would have turned 51 on November 11.
