We all encounter traffic violations from time to time. Here I slightly exceeded the speed, or in general “forgot” to stop at the pedestrian crossing. Of course, this is illegal and should be avoided as much as possible, as the risks are great for other road users as well as our driving licence. Especially since with radars and cameras present everywhere, it is increasingly difficult to avoid vigilance law enforcement. But that doesn’t stop crime from still happening, especially in big cities, which are generally more conducive to it.

Lille is in the lead
In fact, traffic tends to be much denser there, increasing the risk of collisions and other road stress. But in which cities are the most violations of the Code? Well, insurer MMA has decided to ask itself that question and has just released the results of a massive investigation into the subject. And the result, to put it mildly, is understandable. On the average 34 violations per hour, it is Lille that is the champion of traffic violations in France. Contrary to what one might think, Paris does not lead the ranking.
What are the offenses?
But be careful, it is not motorists who make mistakes on public roads. In fact, this will mainly concern pedestrians, who will usually run red lights cyclists don’t stop at the last one. The latter are especially aimed at this study four serious accidents narrowly escaped in just 10 hours, in particular due to risky behavior. But even motorists are not perfect, and there are also many priority refusals.
