
​Romania won 86 medals and took second place in the national ranking at the IKU European Karate Championship, which was held in Novo Mesto (Slovenia) on October 26-29, 2023.

In the Novo-Mesto Olympic Center – Velodrome, tricolor athletes won 24 gold, 22 silver and 40 bronze medals.
“I congratulate the Romanian delegation of 163 people who won this honorable result: the 2023 IKU Karate European Vice-Championship title, which is added to the World Vice-Championship won in October 2022 in Italy,” the message reads. National Sports Agency.
The competition brought together 20 countries and more than 1,200 participants.
