The Israel Defense Forces have released footage of the interrogation of Hamas fighters involved in the October 7 massacre in southern Israel, in which they confirm the group has a hideout under Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the Times of Israel reports.

The release of the images came a day after Israel Defense Forces spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari accused Hamas of having its main base of operations under the hospital, the largest in the Gaza Strip.

“We have concrete evidence that hundreds of terrorists broke into the hospital to hide there after the October 7 massacre,” Hagari said.

He says Israel has information that several tunnels lead to the underground base, so Hamas leaders do not need to enter the hospital to get there. He noted that inside one of the hospital’s wards there is also an entrance to the underground complex.

“Hamas terrorists operate inside and under Shifa Hospital and other hospitals in Gaza through a network of terrorist tunnels. Al-Shifa is not the only hospital, it is one of many. Hamas’ use of hospitals is systematic,” Hagari said, according to the Times of Israel.

According to the military, Hamas’ internal security service has a command center at Shifa Hospital, from where it fires rockets into Israel.
