At the Hermanos Rodríguez circuit (4.304 km) in Ciudad de Mexico, the Dutchman was first in the two practice sessions that opened the weekend that will host the 19th stage of the 2023 Formula 1 season.
In the first practice, Verstappen stopped the clock at the mark of 1:19.718. He was followed by Oleksandr Albon (Williams +0.095 seconds) and teammate Sergio Perez (+0.297 seconds).
In the second practice, the three-time world champion showed a time of 1:18.686. He is followed by Lando Norris (McLaren +0.119 seconds) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari +0.266 seconds).
