The shelling, as a result of which pro-Russian politician Oleg Tsarev was seriously wounded in Crimea, could have been a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Ukrinform reported on Friday with reference to SBU sources.

According to an unknown source of “Ukrainian Pravda”, Tsarev “has long been on the list of traitors who must answer for their crimes, and therefore is an absolutely legitimate target.”

“He is not just a fanatical follower of the Russian world, but a person who personally came with Russian tanks to capture Kyiv,” the source of “Ukrainian Pravda” reported.

The politician was allegedly shot in the early evening of October 27 and is currently in the hospital in serious condition.

Volodymyr Rogov, appointed by Moscow to help govern parts of Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporozhye region controlled by Russian forces, did not say where the attack took place.

Sources told Reuters last year that Russia was grooming Tsarev to lead a puppet government in Kyiv after Moscow sent tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
