Dacia: all new features in 2024 News from Auto Plus in your smartphone News from Auto Plus in your inbox

A few months ago, Dacia presented its new visual identity with a new logo and a concept car called Bigster, designed to set design trends for future Dacias.

The current models have been somewhat “reworked” with a new logo and new colors in line with the new “spirit” of the brand.

The new Dacia Duster is coming

Next year we will get the first Dacia model of the new generation. This will be the third generation of the Duster, a successful off-road vehicle, which, on this occasion, should adopt the aesthetic codes introduced in the Bigster concept car.

This model should enter the market in April and be based on the CMF-B platform of the Renault group. According to the first rumors, this new Duster will not be 100% electricit will still be powered by heat engines, including a 1.2-liter three-cylinder available in 115 and 130 hp, all with a new dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The new Duster will always have the right to do so GPL version, as before with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, and a 1.6-liter hybrid version with a capacity of 140 hp should also appear. Dacia, on the other hand, should ignore the diesel.

What about electric models?

In addition to the new Dacia Duster, the Romanian brand is also planning a major facelift for its spring with some significant improvements, starting with some welcome technological upgrades. The car will also be eligible for some deeper aesthetic tweaks with new brand codes.

In 2025, the production version of the Bigster will hit the market, but we can aim for a presentation at the end of 2024. It will be the Duster’s older brother, even if it will generally take over most of the latter. on-board mechanics. For the top version, there should be a new hybrid unit based on a 1.8-liter gasoline engine.

Those who have been waiting for an electric Sandero will have to be patient to see what we are talking about the date is most likely 2027-2028. The car will take a few elements from the Renault 5 E-Tech, even if the battery has to be different for obvious reasons of cost.
