The US State Department has approved three potential arms sales to Britain, Finland and Lithuania, the Pentagon announced on Monday, as cited by Reuters.

The State Department has approved the potential sale of 3,000 joint air-to-surface missiles to the United Kingdom for $957.4 million, according to a statement.

The prime contractor for this sale will be Lockheed Martin Corp.

The department approved a potential $500 million sale of 150 advanced guided missiles to Finland, according to a separate Pentagon statement on Monday.

Northrop Grumman will be the prime contractor for the agreement with Finland.

The Pentagon also announced a potential sale to Lithuania of 36 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles with Raytheon as prime contractor.
