The Toyota Land Cruiser has undergone many changes throughout its history, but it has always remained true to its off-road capabilities and powerful internal combustion engines, even in the new generation that debuted a few years ago.

However, today the iconic SUV is preparing for its most important transition. Here is the Land Cruiser Se concept, which is a prototype of the Land Cruiser of the future, of course, a 100% electric Land Cruiser.

Where did the Toyota Land Cruiser codes go?

At 5.13 meters long, 1.98 meters wide and 1.7 meters high, the Land Cruiser Concept is one of Toyota’s largest SUVs. The style of this concept is quite ordinary, with lines somewhat inspired by the bZ4X. The flat, boxy front end, characterized by subtle LED optics and a central “Toyota” lettering, generally resembles any electric SUV introduced today.

The taut side lines and large wheel arches give the Japanese SUV a certain physique, and the rear does not shy away from the fashion of the LED strip that connects the two lights. In general, it is difficult for us to see anything original in style.

This Land Cruiser Electric Prototype is closer to a traditional SUV than an actual SUV. Its ground clearance, which looks relatively low in images, few body guards and large alloy wheels make it more suitable for city centers than intersections.

Less off-road and more comfort

At the moment, we have no technical information about this model, except that it should have seven seats and a large battery. This model will definitely feature Toyota’s upcoming batteries, which promise 1,000 to 1,500 km of range depending on configuration.

There are no other signs of this electric Land Cruiser, even if we can imagine positioning in the luxury segment to better undermine a competitor like the Range Rover. At the moment, the market entry date is not specified.
