Poly Iasi, victory in Kopa with Sepsi

Poli Iasi achieved its fourth success in the current draw of the Romanian Super League.

The format prepared by Leo Grozavu pushed itself to the limit against Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe, at the end of a match that he completely controlled.

The guests still had a chance to open the score only in the 4th minute, but Kosmin Matei shot from 11 meters.

Before the break, Iasi had great opportunities to restore the tie, but Nitsuli saved the visitors in several situations.

In the second half, the hosts immediately equalized thanks to Luis Felipe (min. 48), Nitsuli finishing with an elegant shot.

Chances at the guests’ goal continued to appear, but quite a few emotions arose at the end, namely in the 81st minute, when Debelyukh restored the goal. After consultation with VAR, the goal was disallowed.

The final score is 1-0, and Poli Iasi climbs to 10th place in the championship and collects 14 points. Sepsi dropped to 12th place with 12 points.
