“I met with the delegation of the Romanian government. A joint meeting of our governments took place today. This is another important step in the direction of strategic partnership between Ukraine and Romania. Our cooperation, our formats of interaction are a new force for the entire Black Sea region,” Zelenskyy said. “For security, for economic development, for the creation of new infrastructures,” he said.

“And I am grateful to our Romanian partners for the real content of our joint activities,” added the President of Ukraine in his daily address to his compatriots.

He also said that during the day he had “important telephone conversations” with the Prime Minister of Norway and the President of France.

“We talked about what is happening on the battlefield, about the support of our soldiers, about defense cooperation, about the activity of the Black Sea grain corridors. This is important not only for our country, but also for the whole world, for global stability. Of course, special attention is paid to strengthening air defense and our long-range capabilities, our power at sea,” the Ukrainian leader stated.

He said that he discussed with the Prime Minister of Norway the beginning of steps regarding the security guarantees provided to Ukraine based on the declaration that was agreed with the G7.

With Emmanuel Macron, Zelensky says he talked about political activity regarding the opening of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU, a decision that Kyiv expects from EU leaders at the end of the year, and about macro-financial assistance for Ukraine.

He also noted that it is important that assessments of the situation in the Middle East coincide. “I discussed it both with Emmanuel and with the Prime Minister of Norway. It is a matter of principle to prevent any further escalation in the Middle East and save as many lives as possible.

All parties must take care of the civilians – women and children – who are caught up in the fighting and bombing. This will be one of the worst case scenarios if the death toll continues to rise. And we have to prevent such a scenario,” Zelenskyi said. (News.ro)
