“We expect that there will be much fewer accidents than last winter (…), it is obvious that there will be more accidents,” said the mayor general of the capital, present at the opening ceremony of the monument dedicated to junior lieutenant Ekaterina Teodora.

He said that the municipality will work on the modernization of the heating line until the heat is turned on in Bucharest.

“Until the last day, when we have to provide heat, you know the rule (…), after three nights with less than ten degrees, until that moment we can work on the mains, that is, on the big pipes, and then we take the opportunity to work until the last moment, after that (…) a cool period, because it is no longer a real winter, then we can work on the intermediate pipes and of course on the secondary network if necessary,” Nikushor Dan said, according to Agerpres.

Nikushor dan has stated several times that this year the municipality will replace about 50 km of main heating networks.

When asked by journalists that the Minister of Energy complained that the municipality did not pay the ELCEN debt, the Mayor General said that there are administrative transactions with the Treasury.

“Last week, I already signed the payment of 400 million, which was voted by the General Council about two weeks ago, so they left us, I spoke with the head of Thermoenergetics, who confirmed that they have arrived and that they will continue to make payments ( .. .). They will do it today, but probably ELCEN will see them in two to three days,” Nikushor Dan added.
