According to the leadership of the local administration, the retaining wall of the plot of land on which the cemetery is built has cracked, and the intervention for its restoration amounts to 1.5 million lei.

“We need 1.5 million lei to overhaul the wall of the old church in the village of Lopetari to ensure that the village cemetery does not cross the public road. The amount, which is not given out of hand, but on the basis of technical expertise and DALI research is undertaken by the Lopetari City Hall. An amount that the city hall cannot afford, but which is available to the Romanian state, if it really cares about the people of Lopetari,” said the mayor of the commune, Claudiu Constantin.
