Jacqueline Christian advanced to the WTA 125 tournament in Rouen, defeating Grete Minnen (62 WTA) in straight sets.

The Romanian, who is ranked 100th in the WTA rankings, needed an hour and 22 minutes to overtake the main favorite.

In the semifinals, Jacqueline will meet Viktoria Golubich (105 WTA). The Swiss eliminated Fiona Ferro (175 WTA) in the quarters, 6-3, 6-2.

The Rouen Open tournament is part of the WTA 125 category and takes place from October 9 to 16 on hard surfaces. Its total prize fund is $115,000, and the title champion is Maryna Zanevska.
