Buying a new car today is becoming more and more difficult, there are many obstacles ahead of us. First of all, delivery delay extended, which we owe, in particular, to the shortage of semiconductors, even if the latter is slowly starting to improve. But that’s not all, because buying a vehicle from the factory is also very expensive. If it’s always been this way, it hasn’t improved over the years. And it is not for nothing that the average price has increased dramatically, and this trend affects all manufacturers.

More severe punishment
This is mainly due to the increase in the cost of raw materials. But that’s not all, because from January 1 we will also have to deal with a very sharp increase in the environmental fine. Indeed, the maximum amount will now be increased to €60,000 and will no longer be limited to half the price of the car. In addition, the trigger threshold will be lowered for the trigger from 118 g/km, against 123 grams this year. Therefore, it will penalize a large number of new cars, even the so-called regular ones. Therefore, this measure will not save anyone.
Increase in sales
It is logical that it can stimulate motorists turn to used cars, which are not subject to this tax. This trend has already started a bit, as these cars are in increasing demand, which also inevitably increases the prices. So much so that a shortage even occurred a few months ago due to excess demand related to problems with electronic chips.
