French actress Anouk Greenberg, in an interview for Elle magazine to be published on Thursday, assured that “all those who worked with Gerard Depardieu know that he attacks women”, reported AFP and Agerpres on Wednesday.

The 60-year-old actress, who has criticized the film industry’s “deafening silence”, claims that “everyone who worked with Depardieu knows that he assaults women”, saying she saw the actor do it in the 90s.

The former girlfriend of director Bertrand Blier, who is close to Gerard Depardieu, Anouk Greenberg intends to support the well-known actress Charlotte Arnaud, who denounced two rapes in the star’s house in Paris at the end of August 2018. Depardieu was charged in 2020 with “rape” and “sexual assault” in that investigation.

He is accused based on the testimony of 13 women who accuse him of sexual violence and which were published in April by the information website Mediapart. At the time these revelations were made public, the Paris prosecutor’s office said that “to date, no new complaint has been received.”

In early October, Gerard Depardieu responded by publishing an open letter in which he denied the facts of which he is accused, condemning the “lynching” organized by the “media court”. He claimed that he was “not a rapist and not a predator.” “I have never, ever offended a woman,” he wrote.

“When he says (…) that he never assaulted a woman, I saw him doing it all this time,” Anouk Greenberg argued in Elle magazine, referring to the 90s, when she was his girlfriend Bertrand Blee, and a movie with Depardieu. “Merci la vie”, released in 1991.
