Eden stood out at Lille (50 goals and 53 assists in 194 games) and was then Chelsea’s best player (110 goals and 92 assists in 352 games).

“You need to listen and stop in time. After 16 years and over 700 games played, I have decided to end my professional football career.

I managed to achieve my goals, I played and felt good in stadiums all over the world. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to meet great coaches and teammates. I thank them all and miss them.

I also want to thank all the clubs I played for. Lille, Chelsea and Real Madrid and thank the Federation for moments from the national team.

Special thanks to my family, friends, advisors and people who have supported me.

Finally, a thousand thanks to you, my fans, who have followed me and cheered me on all these years. Now is the time to enjoy the time spent with my loved ones and get new experiences. See you soon, friends” – Eden Hazardon Instagram.

As part of the Belgian national team, Eden Hazard played 126 matches and scored 33 goals.
