Israel’s ambassador to Romania, Reuven Azar, says heavy fighting is still going on in the three settlements attacked by Hamas, and that the Israeli army has taken control of another 22 settlements. Azar believes that even if this conflict continues, Israel will manage to eliminate this threat. Also, Israeli officials are sure that Hamas terrorists had “massive” help from Iran, News.ro notes.

“The situation is very serious. In the last 24-36 hours since the attack began, we have been trying to regain control on the ground at the border with Gaza. There are three territories left where the Israeli army is fighting terrorists. In other 22 locations, it was possible to restore order. We see how brutal and brutal this attack was. Entire families were fascinated. Civilians died. There are mothers who were taken with their children and dragged to the Gaza Strip. There are atrocities that we only see in ISIS,” Israeli Ambassador to Romania Reuven Azar said on Antena 3 on Sunday.

He stated that measures were taken to close the border with Gaza.

“The Israeli army managed to kill hundreds of terrorists who were either trying to enter Gaza or return there. We are focused on control on the field. At the same time, we are preparing our military campaign against these terrorists,” Reuven Azar also stated.

Answering the question about what is happening in the north of the country, the ambassador said: “I saw Hezbollah explosions. Israel fired back. We don’t know if this will lead to an escalation of the conflict, but we are also preparing for a situation where we are also attacked from the north.”

“It seems that Hamas now wants to achieve a situation where the entire Arab world attacks Israel. We do not think that this will happen,” added the Israeli ambassador to Romania.

He stated that “Israel will not allow these forces to destroy the state.”

“We will defend ourselves. It may take some time, but I am sure it will not take years, it will take weeks or more, but we will remove this threat,” the ambassador said.

He believes that Hamas had help from Iran: “This attack was carefully planned for years. We know that Hamas, including its leaders, have admitted that they have received enormous aid from Iran.”
