The “Interior design including lighting collection” auction is a variety that brings together the styles of Baroque, Art Nouveau, Art Deco or Rococo, as well as the essence of other eras that have profoundly influenced the evolution of interior design.
An exceptional appearance on the Romanian art market is the work “Madonna and Child” signed by the Flemish artist Adrian de Bee, known for his portraits and biblical scenes, which he painted in what is called the “golden age of Dutch painting”. Only a few of the artist’s works have survived in the world. Among them, we can mention the “Portrait de vieille femme”, which dates from 1652, in the collection of the museum in Darmstadt, Germany, or the triptych on a religious theme, executed in the church of Eligius in Leer, Belgium. The large 400-year-old work is up for auction with a starting price of €6,000 and comes from the famous historic collection of renowned pianist Sella Delavranche.
