“The feasibility study of the Arad – Oradea expressway was approved at today’s meeting of the Technical and Economic Council (CTE) of the Ministry of Transport. The approval was made possible as a result of obtaining all necessary approvals for the project and the completion of technical solutions for more than 80 crossings and bridges on the expressway, including connections with Aradul, Kishinev Krysz, Salonta – Hungary and Oradea – connection with the Transylvania highway,” wrote Ilie Bolozhan in Facebook on Wednesday night.

President CJ Bihor states that the most difficult finding to obtain, as well as the complexity and duration, was the environmental finding.

“The extradition procedure was time-consuming, as almost half of the land surface located between Salonta and Chisinau Krish, on the border between Bihor and Arad, has been declared protected areas. It was necessary to change the route and design new passages in the area of the Chisinau Crisis to meet the conditions for biodiversity,” Boloyan added.

He clarified that the procedure for obtaining this opinion was also completed during September, after a period of public consultation, and at the beginning of this week the opinion was actually issued.

Also in September, permits were obtained from Romanian Waters and CFR.

“Therefore, at the end of last month, the project was positively approved by the CTE of the National Automobile Company. With today’s approval, the project entered the stage of final approval. Thus, in the second half of October, it will be approved at a meeting of the Inter-ministerial Council, which approves high-value public projects,” President CJ Bigor said.

According to him, after the issuance of this last conclusion in November, the technical and economic indicators of the project will be approved by the decision of the Government.

“The decision on the alienation of the lands covered by the expressway project should also be issued after the decision on the approval of indicators is made public. The designers undertook to complete the technical task by the end of November. After its inspection in December-January, it will be possible to launch a tender procedure for selecting developers for 3 lots, which are divided into expressways,” Boloyan said.

Three lots:

1. Arad – Kishinev Krysh;

2. Kishinev Krish – Salonta;

3. Salonta – Oradea.

“If the tender procedures are not extended, then the work will actually start in the spring of next year,” Bolozhan also wrote. (News.ro)
