The man who stabbed a woman in the parking lot of a shopping center in the city of Constanta on Friday, the victim was taken to the hospital, was detained for 24 hours, the district police inspectorate reported on Saturday.

“Police officers of the Konstanz Municipal Police – Police Department 2, under the leadership of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Konstanz Court, detained within 24 hours a 40-year-old man suspected of committing the crimes of robbery, family violence and violation of public order and peace. He was taken and placed in the center of detention and preventive arrests of the police inspectorate of the district of Constanta. Today he will be presented to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of ConstanÅ£a with a judicial proposal,” said a press release given to IPJ ConstanÅ£a.

The suspect is the victim’s husband and a protective order was issued against him, the two are in the process of divorcing.

According to sources in the court, the decision was issued after the wife complained to the police on September 16 that she had been robbed by her life partner. The next day, the woman withdrew her complaint, explaining that they reconciled and returned the seized property, as the protective order was no longer justified.

A woman was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance after a man stabbed her in the parking lot of the Vivo shopping center in Constanta on Friday, injuring her arms and neck.

After committing the attack, the person fled from the scene, and was later found by the police.
