The most prominent ministers in Čolak’s cabinet in August were Marcel Bolosh, Alexandru Rafila and Katalin Preda, according to an analysis by News.ro and monitoring agency Klarmedia based on print and online media monitoring. Three members of the Cabinet of Ministers have less than 1,000 mentions in print and online media.

In August, Prime Minister Marcel Cholaku had 33,068 mentions in the print and online press, recording peaks of visibility with numerous announcements on fiscal measures, on the day of his Ukrainian counterpart’s visit, and after the INS announced that the inflation rate had fallen to July 9.4%.

In second place with 6,892 appearances is Finance Minister Marcel Bolosh, who rose from 4th place in the top visibility in July amid debate over the government’s fiscal measures, as well as protests by financial workers.

Health Minister Alexandru Rafila dropped to 3rd place from 2nd place in July.

Interior Minister Katalin Predoju climbed two positions in August compared to the previous month, registering peaks in visibility thanks to statements made during a meeting with his Austrian counterpart Gerhard Karner, and on the day he presented a report The watchdog made a number of proposals after the accident on May 2 aimed at combating drug use.

First in the category of ministers with between 1,000 and 2,000 mentions in print and online media is Environment Minister Mircea Fecet, with 1,954 appearances, in 9th place, followed by Agriculture Minister Florin Barbu (1,630). Minister of Economy – Stefan Radu Oprea (1,607 speeches), Minister of Education Ligia Deka (1,558 speeches), Minister of Culture Raluka Tsurkan (1,389 speeches), Minister of Defense Angel Tjalvar (1,291 speeches), Minister of European Projects Adrian Cachiu (1,273 speeches), Minister of Development Adrian Vestea (1,119 appearances) and Foreign Minister Luminza Odobescu (1,096 appearances).

In August, three members of Čolaku’s cabinet – Digitalization Minister Bohdan Ivan, Family Minister Nataliya Intotero and Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neatsu – fell into the category of those who were mentioned less than 1,000 times.
