The spokesperson of the Government was asked when the policemen will receive the salary increase promised from the summer of this year, according to the update of the tariff grid according to the law 153.

“Obviously, at the level of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and at the level of the executive branch, the situation is known, and what I can tell you at this point is that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has informed the Ministry of Finance about this delay in payment, and the first chance, probably, to correct this delay is under time to clarify this year’s budget,” said Mihai Constantin, quoted by News.ro.

Police unions protested on September 12 near the main office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They demanded, among other things, an increase in wages, food rations and cash support, the withdrawal of military pensions from the PNRR and a reduction in the staff list.
