According to the latest CURS poll conducted on September 12-22, PSD remains the favorite in the Romanian vote, followed by PNL and AUR.

For the first time, Diana Soshoake’s party, SOS Romania, received 5% of the voters, which is the electoral threshold.

According to the CURS survey, PSD is attributed to 31%. PNL is in second place with 19%, followed by AUR with 18%.

The UDR has an electoral share of 11%, while the UDMR is below the electoral threshold of 4%.

No chance for Schengen this year

60% of respondents believe that Romania will not join Schengen this year – 33% rather not, 27% definitely not.

41% of CURS respondents say that not joining the Schengen area is because of Austria, while 21% believe that the Romanian government is to blame.

The CURS survey was conducted on September 12-22, 2023 on a sample of 1,008 respondents. The maximum margin of error for the entire sample is +/-3.1% at the 95% confidence level
