Romania’s vice-champion in women’s headball “Rapid” from Bucharest suffered its second defeat in the Champions League groups. The Danes from Herning-Icasta won with a score of 35-27 (20-11) in the game that took place at the Sala Polivalentă in Bucharest.

Rapid, defeated by “Herning-Icasta” in the Handball Champions League

Rapid changed their manager after their first defeat in the Champions League groups, which was followed by a victory against Zaglembe, but there was another mistake on Sunday.

The Danes from Herning-Ikast dominated the first half, leading 20-11 at halftime.

The second half was much more balanced, Davinda Ginesti Montes’ team managed to reduce the handicap, but not enough to change the fate of the game.

As part of Rapid, the main scorers were: Grozav (7), Janiuszevych (5), Fernandez (3), Bucheski (2).

After this result, Rapid remains two points away from the first places in Group B.
