Zrinski, a team playing in the UEFA Conference League groups for the first time, produced the surprise of the evening in the first round of the group stage. The Bosnian side defeated AZ Alkmaar 4-3 in a game in which the Dutch led 3-0.

In the first group stage of the UEFA Conference League, debutant Zrinski faced AZ Alkmaar.

The Dutch had a dream first half and managed to score 3 times thanks to van Brederode (min. 10), Meijnans (min. 32) and de Wit (min. 44).

What seemed like a dream turned into a nightmare for the guests.

In the second half, the Bosnians made an incredible comeback and overturned the result – 4 scored goals.

Immediately after the break, Kozhul reduced the difference (min. 48), and Yosyp Chorluka scored the second goal for the hosts (min. 68).

Entering the field in the 70th minute, Hrvanovich needed only a minute to score and restore parity from Malekinushych’s pass.

The transfer was made by Zvonimir Kozul (min. 81), who completed the sensational comeback of the Bosnians in the first group match of the UEFA Conference League.
