
Like its competitors, mini will diversify its offer, focusing on short trips. For this, the manufacturer has teamed up with Angell Mobility, an expert in electric bicycles, to develop and sell a range of electric and connected bikes under the Mini brand. A partnership that will last until at least 2027, and which gave rise to the first model: the Mini electric bicycle 1.

Mini E-Bike 1: two series limited to 1,959 units
Mini E-Bike 1 will be available in two colors and in limited editioneach made on 1959 copies numbered, a number that celebrates the birth year of the Mini brand. It is based on an ultra-light seamless Angell Mobility frame, handcrafted in France using aerodynamic quality aluminium, and features a two-tone liquid and powder paint finish with two shades inspired by Mini bodies: Ocean Wave Green and Vibrant Silver grey. .
Two frame configurations are offered: M framewith the upper pipe, and S frame, with a low frame for easy access. The total weight of the E-Bike 1 (including battery) is 17 kg for the S frame and 17.5 kg for the M frame: it is one of the lightest e-bikes in its category.
On the equipment side, there is an integrated digital on-board screen that includes a navigation system. connected to the mobile applicationand has a modern user interface. The iOS and Android app allows you to record rides, set up driver aids and addresses, and find, track and locate your bike.
Autonomy up to 65 km
On the technical side, we find the engine from 250 W on the rear hub, offer three levels of electrical assistance up to 25 km/h. Thanks to its removable battery weighing 2.1 kg, the Mini E-Bike 1 offers up to 65 km of autonomy in Eco mode, 50 km in Dry mode and 35 km in Fast mode.
The Mini E-Bike 1 is now available for pre-order from September 19, 2023 at a price of 3490 euros. It will be sold by bike specialists, select shops such as Printemps in Paris, not forgetting a selection of Mini dealerships. Both limited edition bikes are offered with a two years warrantyas well as the “Angell Back” replacement policy in case of theft.
