The news that Laurenciu Regekamp will leave the University of Craiova after just seven stages has left Olten supporters baffled. The coach is going to Saudi Arabia, where he will receive a solid salary.

Al Tae paid Laurentiu Reghecampf’s release clause

Although it was initially known that the Romanian coach would train Al Riyad, the Saudi team that paid the €300,000 release clause is Al Tae, according to ProSport.

In ninth place after six stages of the Saudi Arabian championship, ex-FCSB player Andrej Kordea, as well as the top scorer of the Super League last season, Croatian Marko Dugandzic, are in the team.

Regekampf will be paid accordingly, in excess of €1 million per season for the entire technical staff.

Last season, Al Tae had another Romanian coach on the bench, former coach Mirel Redoi.

In the current mandate on the bench of the University of Craiova, Laurenciu Regekampf has achieved four wins, one draw and two losses.
