
The Romanian women’s basketball team will play Turkey, Slovakia and Iceland in the preliminary group of the 2025 European Championship, which will be held in the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece and Italy.

36 national teams participate in the qualification, including Romania, and the hosts of the final tournament – the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece and Italy – are in the same group, writes News.ro.
The other 32 teams will compete in eight groups, with the winner of each group and the other four best-placed runners-up advancing to the final tournament.
In Tuesday’s draw, Romania was part of the sixth ballot box.
The matches will be held on November 9-12, November 7-10, 2024 and February 6-9, 2025.
