A Spanish judge has banned former Spanish Football Federation president Luis Rubiales from getting closer than 200 meters to Jennifer Hermoso, the BBC reported on Friday.
Prosecutors asked for the restraining order as a criminal complaint alleging sexual violence and coercion was filed and heard in a national court in Madrid. Luis Rubiales has denied sexually assaulting soccer player Jenny Hermoso by kissing her on the lips after Spain won the Women’s World Cup. Attorney Jenny Hermoso was adamant that it was a “non-consensual kiss.”
Investigating judge Francisco de Jorge imposed restrictions on Rubiales, allowing him to come within 200 meters of Jenny Hermoso, and added that the defendant is not allowed to have contact with Hermoso during the investigation.
Luis Rubiales resigned as president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) earlier this week, News.ro reports.
