Support for Ukraine in EU countries remains unchanged, while the majority of Europeans approve of maintaining sanctions against Russia, according to a Eurobarometer survey cited by RBC and Rador.

The survey results show that 86% of Europeans support the provision of humanitarian aid to people affected by the war in Ukraine, and 76% agree that Ukrainians fleeing the war should be accepted in EU countries.

Also, 71% of Europeans agree with the introduction of economic sanctions against Russia, and 66% support supporting Ukraine in part of the country’s European integration process.

The survey also shows that 65% of the surveyed Europeans support the integration of Ukraine into the EU single market, and 64% agree with the financial and economic support of the Ukrainian state.

57% of Europeans support the financing of purchases and supplies of military equipment to Ukraine. The Eurobarometer survey was conducted in 27 EU member states from August 24 to 31, 2023 among 26,514 EU citizens.
