In a new video shared by the Ukrainian military on social media, it can be seen that they have captured another T-90M tank, the most modern of the Russian military and only the third such combat vehicle that ended up in the hands of the Kyiv military.

The video shows the tank being captured, apparently intact, abandoned by the Russian military in a camouflaged position that appears to be at the edge of the forest. According to information disseminated by the Ukrainian military, the car was seized near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Ukrainian forces managed to enter this village on August 22 and announced its complete liberation a week later, so perhaps the T-90M tank was captured a little earlier and the Ukrainian military just presented a new “trophy”.

On September 9, the Russian military site topwar.ru noted that the T-90M tank was captured by Ukrainians during the fighting for the village of Robotyne, which is located in the Orihiv district of the front.

“Unfortunately, it was not possible to destroy the abandoned car,” the Russian side notes, without giving more details about the circumstances of its loss and why the Russian military could not take measures to prevent its capture by the Ukrainians.

The capture of the T-90M tank, which is considered the pride of the Russian arms industry, was also confirmed by the Oryx site, which independently monitors the losses of both armies fighting in Ukraine.

The Russians are losing more and more T-90M tanks

In September of last year, the Ukrainian military for the first time managed to capture a Russian T-90M tank, which was allegedly left behind by the Russians during the chaotic withdrawal from the Kharkiv region.

The capture of the second T-90M was confirmed by a video that the Ukrainians shared in early December:

By the beginning of this month, the Russian army had lost at least a third of its fleet of T-90M tanks (about 100 units), which it had before the start of the “special forces operation” last year.

As of February 22 of this year, the Russian army lost 10% of its fleet of T-90M tanks, and over the past 6 months, the percentage of losses has almost tripled.

Such an unbearable level of losses is all the more shocking because during this time the Russian military did not conduct any large-scale offensive actions, except for the storming of the city of Bakhmut in the east of Ukraine.
