Medvedev believes he deserved to win the second set: “I dominated Djokovic, I was on top of him”

With the score 1:0 in sets in favor of Nole Medvedev had a set point in the return match. It all came down to 6-5 in his favor on Djokovic’s serve.

Daniil had a set ball, but he appreciated it, as he himself admits. “I should have won the second set. I had a clear pass that I should have played along the line, but I did it in the canopy. I had two options and I chose the wrong one.

It’s a shame I didn’t win the second set because I felt I was on top of him, dominating him. But this is tennis.

Overall, I didn’t play the best game. I played at an extraordinary level with Alcaraz, I played maybe the best game of my life. But I can’t always play at that level.

There are, of course, regrets, but there are still 23 cases when players who met Djokovic in the Grand Slam final have regrets” – Daniil Medvedevquoted by Eurosport.
