Dabrowski and Rutliffe (16 favorites at the start of the competition) were defeated in the grand final by Laura Siegemund / Vera Zvonarev (Germany/Russia – 12), 7-6(9), 6-3.

Roland Garros 2017 and Australian Open 2018 mixed doubles winner Gabriela Dabrowski (31 years old) also made it to the Wimbledon 2019 women’s doubles final.
Erin Rutliff (28 years old) last year played in the quarters at Wimbledon (women’s doubles) and at the Australian Open (mixed doubles).
