Soldiers of the Romanian Navy discovered new fragments of another drone that crashed in Romania on Saturday.
On Saturday, September 9, military personnel of the Romanian Navy, deployed for research missions in the area of Plauru, Tulcea County, carried out search operations in the area of responsibility, as a result of receiving information from the local authorities, transmitted by the Tulcea Garrison Command, regarding the possible existence of drone elements approximately in 2.5 kilometers south-east of Plaur, according to a press release sent by MApN.
- “After conducting field research, fragments of a drone similar to those used by the Russian army were discovered. The territory was guarded by the military, and the discovered elements will be removed for examination and technical examination,” the Ministry of Education and Culture reports.
The Ministry of National Defense strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation on individual objects and elements of civil infrastructure in Ukrainian ports on the Danube. These attacks are unjustified and seriously violate the norms of international humanitarian law, being war crimes.
“The forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications remain on alert and will continue to inspect the areas where Russian troops are shelling the Ukrainian port infrastructure on the Danube. Also, the Ministry of Defense remains in constant contact with allied structures, which are informed in real time,” the Ministry of Defense reports.
