The military court of the 235th Garrison of Moscow decided to take into custody Major General Kostyantyn Ohienko, responsible for the air defense of the capital of the Russian Federation. He is accused of bribery, Kommersant and TASS report.

Until July, Ogienko was the commander of the 1st Order of Lenin of the special purpose air defense army, which is responsible for protecting the skies above Moscow.

He was detained on July 27 and the court decided to extend the preventive measure until November 27.

According to the investigation, Ohienko received a bribe from the “Nadia” organization in exchange for land belonging to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

According to the military prosecutor’s office, Ogienko’s accomplice was the commander of the 4th Air Defense Division, Major General Dmytro Beliatskyi.

In total, the Russian generals were to receive 300 million rubles from the organization. They were caught taking some of the money.

General Beliatskyi, who is under house arrest, entered into a plea agreement and testified against Ohienko. He denied the charges.

The investigation shows that the head of the “Hope” organization took money from several associations and people, promising land near Moscow in return, and the organizer of the operation was the commander responsible for the defense of the Russian capital.

And the head of the organization was charged with bribery.
